David Raffoul and Nicolas Moussallem have established a global presence since they set up their studio, david/nicolas, in Beirut in 2011. Their innovative approach to contrasting materials, along with their unique way of blending retro, contemporary and futuristic elements, gives their work a timeless aesthetic that translates to a wide range of projects, from furniture design to high-end bespoke interiors.

New in the collection of Gallotti&Radice is the Loulou Rock, designed by david/nicolas.
Loulou Rock stems from an intimate narrative that feeds and defines the design gesture. Conceived ten years ago by david/nicolas on the occasion of their first exhibition in Beirut – the city where they grew up – it is a homage to cultural roots and family memory. Inspired by their grandmothers and the constant presence of rocking chairs in Lebanese homes, this creation translates a feeling of sweet nostalgia, full of precious memories and family stories. The slender structure, embellished with brass details, combines visual lightness with meticulous craftsmanship in a contemporary aesthetic language. The dialogue between heritage and modernity gives this chair a universal breath, capable of speaking to different cultures and sensibilities and destined to last.
